Funding
The Tetrahymena Genome
Sequencing Project, led by scientists at The Institute
of Genomic Research (TIGR), is funded by grants from the National Science
Foundation's (NSF) Microbial
Genome Sequencing Program and the National
Institutes of Health's (NIH) National Institute of General
Medical Sciences (NIGMS) for the sequencing and analysis of the macronuclear
genome of Tetrahymena thermophila.
TGD, whose goal is to facilitate the use of the Tetrahymena genome
sequence produced by TIGR, is funded by a grant from the NIGMS at the NIH.
